Traffic constabulary issued much than 1,200 fines to motorcycle and e-scooter riders caught without clang helmets past week, with a substantial fig of violations among e-scooter riders, authorities said Tuesday.
A constabulary statement said 1,351 fines for driving without clang helmets were issued nationwide from April 13-19. A total 949 violation were committed by motorcycle drivers, and 101 by passengers – who under the caller traffic codification look a €350 good for not wearing a helmet, while the operator of the motorcycle is fined the aforesaid sum for allowing an unprotected rider to get connected adjacent if they are themselves wearing a helmet.
Another 301 fines of €30 each were issued to e-scooter riders.
Most of the violations were committed successful the Greater Athens region.
