HELLSOC Annual Ball celebrates Greek culture, education and community at UNSW

The Hellenic Society (HELLSOC) astatine the University of New South Wales, successful concern with the Foundation for Hellenic Studies, hosted its Annual HELLSOC Ball past Saturday astatine The Clairemont successful Bankstown, bringing together students, academics and assemblage leaders successful a solemnisation of Greek civilization and education.

A bid of distinguished speakers addressed the audience, including Con Apoifis, Costa Vertzayias, Dr Vassilis Adrahtas, His Excellency Georgios Skemperis and HELLSOC President Dimitra Mavrocordatos. Speakers emphasised the value of preserving Greek connection and culture, while underscoring the relation of acquisition and assemblage collaboration successful sustaining Hellenic identity.

Central to the evening was the presumption of the 1821 Scholarships, recognising students committed to the study of Greek connection and culture. Award recipients included Terry Rakis, Chris Rakis, Gregory Biris, Despina De Francesco, Sophie Diamantaras and Samin Rezaei, reflecting continued concern successful aboriginal generations.
