Panel recommends lifting immunity of 11 ND lawmakers

The Parliament’s Ethics Committee unanimously recommended connected Tuesday lifting the immunity of 11 ruling New Democracy lawmakers whose names look successful a lawsuit record submitted by the European authoritative arsenic portion of its probe into Greece’s sprawling workplace subsidy scam. 

The MPs are Katerina Papakosta, Kostas A. Karamanlis, Ioannis Kefalogiannis, Panagiotis Mitarakis, Konstantinos Tsiaras, Konstantinos Skrekas, Dimitrios Vartzopoulos, Maximos Senetakis, Vasileios Vasiliadis, Christos Boukoros, and Theofilos Leontaridis.

Only two of them appeared successful person, while the others submitted written memoranda regarding the allegations concerning each of them. All 11 had requested the lifting of their immunity. 

The proposal is not binding. The last determination will beryllium made by the afloat parliament successful a roll-call vote, besides conducted separately for each of the eleven lawmakers, during a special league expected to take spot aft April 19.

The lawsuit concerns a caller 2nd lawsuit record successful which the names of the eleven lawmakers are included among those implicated.
